Skates and dollies are used for heavier and larger items that either can’t be lifted onto a trolley or don’t fit on a trolley, such as a heavy cabinet or drawers. They also allow removalists to move lots of boxes at the same time. Using skates allows items to be kept horizontal rather than having them leant back as they would be on a trolley.

• Please be careful when using for skates to move a heavy item
• When moving goods, make sure your dolly is centred under the item to evenly distribute the weight
• To keep the items even more secure you can also use straps or luggage cords. Loading your item onto the dolly may require more than 1 person – you will need to tip the load and slide the dolly to the centre
