This push clip latch is made to suit 2-wheel wheelie bins, with or without a handle, and is a simple way to keep the lid held down between collections. It helps stop lids lifting in wind, reduces access by pests, and keeps contents contained when bins are stored in busy areas like back-of-house lanes, campuses, aged care facilities, and event sites. The quick-release design is intended to let the latch disengage when the bin is tipped for emptying, so the bin can stay secured right up to collection time without needing to be unhooked beforehand.
Installation is straightforward for maintenance teams and owner-operators doing a quick DIY fit-out. Using the supplied drilling template, drill a 1/2in (12.7mm) hole in the bin lid, push the clip into the hole, then stretch the hook under the rim of the bin to tension the lid closed. The latch is made from sturdy elastic rubber to handle regular opening and closing, and it has been tested for use across extreme temperature conditions to support year-round outdoor storage and daily service use.
