Workbench and Machinery Table Castors

Need to rearrange your garage or workshop? We’ve got you covered. Our workbench castor kits come with everything you need to get your worktable off the ground. They are available in two different mounting options, allowing you to either permanently attach the castors or remove them out of the way when not in use. Inside each kit you’ll find 4 non-marking polyurethane castors, thick steel castor pedal frames, all required fasteners, wrenches, a template for positioning and drilling, and a clear and concise instruction manual. These kits are truly a DIYer’s dream.

Our workbench castors can lift and reposition a workbench or machinery table weighing up to 400kg in total. This means that each castor in the kit can comfortably hold up to 100kg each, and with one on each leg, the total combined carrying capacity becomes 400kg.

Mounting Options

We’ve got two different ways to mount these bench castors. Choose from permanent installation with the fixed kit, or temporary installation with the quick-release kit. The quick-release option has a spring-loaded mounting plate that allows you to slide out the castor when not in use. This is a fantastic option for reducing tripping hazards or for use in small spaces.

Benefits of Our Workbench Wheel Sets

The benefits of using a polyurethane wheel are endless; they are non-marking to protect your workshop or job site floor, they are really and smooth to roll, they’re an attractive black colour to match the aesthetic of your space, and they’re tough. Each castor has a 360 degree swivel action, which makes moving your table or bench an easy process.

The castor pedal frames are constructed from tough steel and powder coated in a black colour. The foot pedals are decked out with non-slip grooves for a superior grip. These frames have been designed to withstand the true rough and tumble of a workshop environment, and you won’t find a better option on the market.

How Do Workbench Wheels Work?

To use, press down on each foot pedal, applying pressure to raise the bench off the ground. Move your bench to the position you’d like, and then lift each foot pedal upwards, which will lower the bench back onto the ground and disable movement. If you’ve installed the temporary quick-release model, you can now slide your castors out of the frame and store for later.

How to Put Wheels on a Workbench

We have two options for attaching wheels to workbenches: a permanent solution using a fixed mounting plate, or a temporary solution using a plate that allows you to remove the castors when they are not in use. The quick-release option can reduce the likelihood of tripping hazards.

To install the plate, mark the holes for drilling with the  included “easy-install” template and attach using the wood screws provided. Use the 4 corner holes for the best stability. If your bench leg is less than 75mm wide, use the two centre holes in the mounting plate.
